Or how about echoing the retro feel of our Empress Josephine dress with that of the Delphine maxi bridesmaid dress? It won't break the bank at £195, and comes with a flattering empire fit meaning it skims, rather than clings, over the body. It also comes in 11 pretty colours.

Nola slinky bridesmaid dresses

Created by two friends, Nola was born out of a frustration at not being able to find the kind of bridesmaids dresses they wanted for their wedding days. They created their own bespoke bridesmaid dresses, which went down so well with their bridesmaids that they created their own life.

The simple designs are created to flatter the wearer and take in mind different body shapes while the colour choice is truly contemporary.

Our simple Violet dress from our eco collection is made to be paired with Nola's Bella slip dress in red, £220. Just like the Violet has a stylish cowl back detail, the midi length slip dress has a cute bow to finish the look off. And just like our eco wedding dresses, this is made from sustainable materials including bamboo and EcoVero viscose.

The co-ord options from £150 that Nola make are such a clever idea for bridesmaids. Not only is it great for those bridesmaids that are different sizes on the top and bottom but they are more inherently wearable for after the event, especially the ones that come in slick shades of navy or oyster grey. They work really well pared with the simplicity of our Elsie dress.

Six Stories slinky bridesmaid dresses

If you're really watching your budget, these bridesmaid dresses are a great choice as they come in at around £125. While they don't come in as wide a colour range as Ghost, they do come in some super flattering styles from halterneck to angel sleeves. What's more you can also buy co-ordinating satin pouch bags and scrunchies to ensure your bridemaids really look the part.
