Behind every wedding dress are amazing skilled, independent makers and artisans who make our dresses, upcycle off-cuts into valuable items that go on to support marginlised women, refugees and their local communities too.

Collaborating with London Artisans

We work with a small team of long‑standing makers in East London, London by a small team of highly skilled artisans we’ve worked with since founding the label in 2007.

Every dress has been developed meticulously through a collaborative process with long-standing partnerships with we have built over time on trust and respect.

The innovative and way we collaborate with our artisans, from our initial sketches and patterns to toiles to fittings creates the most premium garment, in fit, feel and flattering style. We visit the atelier weekly and ensure everyone is never paid less than the London Living wage and works in safe, supportive conditions.

Together our collaborative partnerships and craftsmanship has decades of experience in couture and bridalwear – this Is the quiet heartbeat of our brand.

Flexible livelihoods for Independent Makers

Alongside our atelier, we collaborate with independent seamstresses across London who help us transform off-cut fabric waste into valuable items for three charities.

Many of our seamstresses are balancing childcare, study with work. We create fairly-paid and flexible work that’s above the ‘London Living Wage’.

These makers are artisans in their own right — skilled, resourceful and creative – turning small off cuts into beautifully finished pieces that go on to support other women and families.

Supporting women + Refugee Communities

We also collaborate with independent seamstresses and artisans to transform off-cut fabric into valuable new-born baby clothes and smart workwear tops regularly donated to: AFRIL, Cornerstone Baby Bank and Smartworks, charities supporting marginalised women, refugees and their communities.

Zero waste by turning waste into beautifully finished and meaningful pieces that support others.
