A new halter neck style

A new halter neck dress with a collar and extra-long back neck ties made from our signature super heavy crepe silk. it has a low back and is bias cut, with a train.

There’s a neck collar, with extra-long neck ties so they can drape down the middle of the extra low back.

The halter-neck wedding dress is a timeless silhouette that’s also elegantly modern and perfect statement dress for a city, church or beach wedding. Its all about the accessories and all brides can stamp their individual style all over it.

The Halter neck style originated from the 1920s and 30s from French designer Madeleine Vionnet and went on to become iconic by the likes of Betty Gable and Marilyn Monroe.

Reminiscent of the Anna dress

The Blazing Star has another little point of detail, it has a little pleat in the centre front just below the neck collar. This is reminiscent of the Anna dress we used to have in a previous collection, another halter neck beauty. Here she is below worn by one of our real brides and had a scalloped lace trim along the neck.

A style loved by many

Don’t take our word for it that this is a style that is THE silhouette right now. Lots of our brides are loving this style.

Famous peeps who have loved this style include: Sofia Richie-Grainge wore a custom-made Chanel halter neck wedding dress at her South of France wedding.

Megan Markle famously wore a halter neck dress for her second evening dress that everyone fell in love with.

This is a style that suits most shapes

Whether you’re athletic or blessed with a hour-glass and beautiful curves, it’s a dress that suits many we’ve seen. We’ve added extra drape on the hips too, since most women feel a little uncomfortable about their hips and we want this dress to be as flattering as possible on as many different shapes.

Make sure you’ve got the right underwear

that smooths out all your lines and creates a lovely shape and provides the right amount of support. For halter neck styles maybe consider wearing Ender Legard’s LEXI body suit that has a halter neck and is completely seamless.

How to style the Blazing Star dress

With extra long dangly statement earrings

Think 80’s statement YSL earrings. We like these extra dangly earrings called Waterfall earrings lovingly made by hand by Victoria Fergusson

Up do with tousled tendrils

a low bun or an up-do with a few tousled curls to the side of your face is a perfect way to have your hair with the Blazing Star dress. You don’t need any other jewellery, the dress and earrings make such a bold and super chic statement.

To bow or not to bow?

Wear your neck tie bow either as a big or small bow. Arrange it either in the centre back, or move it slightly so it sits on the side of the neck too for something that’s a little more fashion forward and chic.

Add a two tier veil or a cape

For a church wedding, simply add a two-tier soft tulle veil or a cape

These things come as standard on every dress

Each of our dresses have discreet under train buttons and wrist loops too, so you have a choice on the day how you’d like to bustle up your train.

Where can I try this dress on?

Available to try on at The Wedding Club Official in their brand new concept store at 4 Yeoman's Row, London SW3 2AH, that’s a short walk from Knightsbridge and South Kensington underground stations.
