#10YearChallenge - Alaya, Josephine and Loie

The internet and social media streams are currently flooded with with 10 year throwback images.  We thought we'd some some of our #10YearChallenges too starting with the Alaya dress which morphed into two super slinky styles, Josephine and Loie. It first appeared at the film premiere of the first Twilight film premiere as a glamourous vampire lady with Robert Pattison as he made his entrance on the black carpet to adoring screaming fans in London's Leicester Square - (It was a pretty special moment, I was stood discreetly near the main entrance taking in all the ambience of what was before me).

The Alaya dress was designed with a higher back cowl back and a slim A-line skirt. Over the years, brides asked for a slinkier style and others preferred a more fuller yet slinky skirt. The Alaya dress morphed into two super slinky styles, Josephine and Loie - still very much loved by our brides today and named after iconic dancers of the art deco and art nouveau eras, to echo its timeless style.

Josephine has a beautifully cut bias cut column skirt shape and puddle train and Loie a full draped skirt with a plunging back and cowl neck.
