Face massage for naturally glowing skin

Sofia Latiff oils know a thing or two about preparing for the big day and achieving that glowing skin. Here are some of their tips on how to go about doing your own face massage....

We all want glowing skin. And we all want the best from every skincare product we invest in, and if we can find ways to make that investment work harder for us, then we feel like it is good value. Face massage is one way to make skincare products work harder for us.

It’s a technique used by facialists and makeup artists to bring a glow to skin. To have a facial every day would be bliss, but that is not a reality for many of us. An alternative option to a daily facial is a daily face massage. It is cheap and you can do it for as long as you like and as many times as you like.

WHY A FACE MASSAGE IS WORTH DOING EVERY NIGHT

A face massage will help your skincare product to absorb into skin more effectively, whilst bringing blood to the surface layers of the skin, which in itself brings nutrients and oxygen. The massaging action wakes up the lymphatic channels through which toxins are drained away, and also helps muscles in the face to relax, relieve tension built up over the course of the day, and bring a natural plumpness back to skin.

Face oils are great to use for a face massage. They help minimise friction between fingers and skin, allowing you to massage the skin for longer, with 5 minutes being the magic number to aim for. Our blend of face oil contains jasmine essential oil, which is a mood boosting scent, helping to release feel good brain chemicals, so you can end your day feeling positive and confident. Of course, you can massage your skin in the morning too, which is a great way to create a glow and prep skin for make up. Many make-up artists swear by this trick, before applying make-up!

AN EASY FACE MASSAGE TECHNIQUE

If you’re interested in using a face massage tool and not just your fingers, then you could invest in a rose quartz face roller.
