For this week's 'Supplier Spotlight', we're highlighting the incredible Sally-Kate Duboux, founder of Hair by Duboux! Sally-Kate is an amazing hair artist who has worked on many of our styled shoots and our brides, including Sabina herself!

Sally-Kate is based in Hockley, Essex, but loves to travel and services weddings in the United Kingdom and destination weddings globally. Coupled with her years of expertise and training, and with her very-own hair extensions and wigs, Sally-Kate will work with you to create the hairstyle of your dreams. Sally-Kate Duboux, founder of Hair by Duboux, started her career at just seventeen. She worked as a wig maker of facial hair for the highly prestigious Sarah Weatherburn & Co Ltd., known for making iconic beards from Dumbledore to Gandalf to Game of Thrones! She then took her knowledge to the arts, working with West End, National and International theatre productions. Sally-Kate made a slow and steady transition into the wedding industry in 2012 when the majority her friends started to get married themselves!

Sally-Kate describes how she fell in love with applying her skills to the wedding industry:
"I loved hearing about [my friends'] wedding planning... seeing the colour palettes, the flowers (I'm a huge lover of plants and flowers), wedding party outfits, you name it- I felt thoroughly engrossed. This love for all the details has overflowed from friends' weddings into my clients'. I love the journey and formation of friendships when working with you to create the hairstyle of your dreams. I am always honoured when I am asked to be a part of a couple's day; the difference with us small, independent businesses is that we genuinely do a little happy dance with every booking (or at least I do)"

In our latest shoot, Sally-Kate helped create modern, beautiful looks to go perfectly with our dresses, pastel makeup, and ethereal all-white florals. She was able to seamlessly change styles depending on the dresses' necklines and backs, and the hair accessories we were shooting! Just look how stunning her work is!

Sally-Kate is a sustainable and eco-friendly supplier - which we LOVE! She prides herself on her curated selection of products she uses on her clients, only using ones that she herself recommends and uses. Sally-Kate is a part of a positive and forward-thinking company that is entirely natural. The company uses only biodegradable, plant-based, cruelty free, sulphate and silicone-free ingredients to guarantee that your hair is being looked after and taken care of. As of this year, Sally-Kate has partnered with Carbon Neutral Britain to make a pledge in reducing her carbon footprint, planting 20 trees a month! For every couple that invests in Hair by Duboux, a donation is made to ensure that her presence at your special day is carbon neutral.
Sally-Kate is amazing at creating any hairstyle, including our very own Sabina's Nikkah ceremony look!
To achieve Sabina's look, Sally-Kate colour-matched Sabina's hair to the extensions (which are Sally-Kate's very own) by mixing an even amount of three shades to ensure a seamless blend. Sally-Kate blow dried Sabina’s hair then curled it, using a 24mm tong to tuck the ends and help blend Sabina's shorter, natural-length hair into the clip-ins.
Sally-Kate not only works with you the day of your wedding, but helps work with you to ensure your hair care routine, products, and day-to-day styling is the best it can be leading up to your special day!
