Pretty in Veri Peri: Pantone Colour of The Year 2022 Wedding Inspiration

Paper Crowns - Valorie Darling Photography

For the first time ever, a new colour was made for Pantone's 'Colour of the Year 2022'! Naming the colour 'Very Peri', Pantone feels it is the perfect representation of our world’s current climate.

“Encompassing the qualities of the blues, yet at the same time possessing a violet-red undertone, PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri displays a spritely, joyous attitude and dynamic presence that encourages courageous creativity and imaginative expression.”

I felt super inspired by the meaning behind Very Peri - and what could be more inspirational than creating a wedding that is not only visually stunning but also reflects the spirit and joy of you as a couple?

Let’s face it- times have been hard. But like Pantone, we’re ready to look toward brighter days; and nothing signifies hope for the future more than a wedding!

The meaning behind Very Peri isn't the only beautiful thing about the colour- just look how gorgeous it is! The color is not quite periwinkle and not quite lavender, but rather a magical mix of the two. With its tones of both blue and red, it is a great colour for any season of the year. Very Peri is perfect to bring into weddings as either a main colour or even an accent.

Keep reading to see some great examples of how to use this shade on your wedding day; from florals to cake design to décor, Very Peri is the shade you've been dreaming of for 2022!

Lavender Suit

And for the groomsmen, try using Very Peri's tone in the suiting or in the florals! The lighter tone pulls more grey, looking sophisticated and chic next to whites and ivories!

Florals

Willow and Blossom

Using different tones of Very Peri within your floral arrangements can make a stunning look for your wedding day. There are a variety of flowers that exude this gentle yet powerful color. Hydrangeas and lilacs both come in this beautiful shade. Use them in your bouquet alongside white roses or rich greenery.

This couple used Very Peri coloured blooms to create an ethereal and fairy like theme for their wedding. Pieces like ceremony décor and huge wild bouquets tied with ribbons, pictured above, were the perfect places to feature the joyous colour.
